Faculty Chat for Summer I focused on Assessment.  The Vice President of Academic Affairs is requiring that all faculty teaching online courses, both Distance Learning and Center for Online Learning, be evaluated for instructional quality and adherence to Saint Leo University values. To evaluate online faculty using consistent assessment techniques, the  Office of Assessment and Institutional Research created the attached online faculty observation instrument.  Your colleagues at Saint Leo will be using this assessment tool to evaluate your teaching.

Evaluators, assigned by the Deans and Program Directors, will evaluate content.  Cheryl Doyle, Executive Assistant to Dr. Maribeth Durst, will complete initial staff evaluation.   New faculty will be evaluated first, other faculty will be evaluated every 3 years.  The goal is to provide faculty evaluation consistent with face to face.  Please review the Evaluator’s instructions for further information, or contact Dr. Diane Johnson at diane.johnson@saintleo.edu.
