Student Board of Advisors

"...to foster understanding, ensure that equitable opportunities exist online, and advise the University administration regarding student issues and concerns."

Purpose
The Student Board of Advisors (BOA) serves as a voice for Saint Leo COL students. The Board provides input on the areas of technology, student services, and the classroom. The BOA is a student run group that meets regularly for the betterment of the COL program. Voting Board Members are selected based on a review of qualifications and ability to positively contribute; however, all students are permitted and encouraged to participate in the BOA.

Accomplishments
The Board works hard to address issues and concerns expressed by the student population. Some of the accomplishments of the Board so far include: having Sample Syllabi be available to all students through iROAR to aid in course selection; serving as a catalyst for new book purchasing options; holding chats with new students to answer questions and build community; and making recommendations for graduation commencement speakers.

Meetings and Contact Info
The Board meets bi-monthly to conduct business and address concerns. All students are welcome to join the Board every third Monday at 8:00 pm EST in the Academic Chat Room located in iROAR. Students may also email Board members with concerns and issues.
