Saint Leo DOES NOT PARTICIPATE in the VA Advance Payment Program. (By keeping in close contact with your VA school certifying official, your monthly payments should be received on time without interruption).
TUITION ASSISTANCE CAN NOT BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MONTGOMERY GI BILL
- This rule applies to ALL active duty members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guards.
Time frame for use of VA benefits:
- Veterans have 10 yrs from date of service separation in which to use their benefits. Veterans can start, stop and restart using benefits any time within the 10 yrs. Be sure to alert your VA school representative of your plans if/when you choose to take any time off.
- The GI Bill benefit provides for 36 months of education benefits. A month of education benefits equates to the current maximum payment rate for a full-time credit load (this equates to 6 credit hours for a Saint Leo-COL student)
